MEF C2PC Recommendatior

Operationalized Intel Picture

- Current methods for highlighting specific
enemy formations (filters and track groups)
are difficult to implement and often
unreliable.

- "Our" COP is not just the COP in the MEF CP.
If the MEF identifies a tactical center of
gravity, it should be identified the same way
in every MSC CP.

MEF C2PC Recommendatior

• Operationalized intel picture

- A red icon is a red icon regardless of BDA.
We would like some way to conveniently
and visually represent the effects of shaping
and fires (1st MAW).

MEF C2PC Recommendatior

Operationalized graphics

- Current graphics are too dependant on
procedural control and implementation (MEF CE).

- HHq cannot delete someone's old overlay files -
we have no way of controlling "bad gouge"

- Graphics should be a part of the COP.

- When HHq changes a boundary or shifts a FSCM,
it should be reflected on all subordinate COP'S
without having to promulgate an electronic
overlay.

Better support for coalition systems

- USFK is pursuing a database conversion
utility to move track data from CPAS to
C2PC.

- More than just database conversion...
methods and procedures for injecting data
into the COP needs to reflect coalition TTP's

MEF C2PC Recommendatior

Tactical points are difficult to see - the
"frame on, fill on" option is not available
(FSSG).

- Recommendation: Make the "frame on, fill on"
option available for tactical symbols.

Overlay options need to be defined for every
overlay, the default values (line thickness,
font size etc.) cannot be customized (FSSG).

- Recommendation: Allow user defined default
values for overlay properties.

MEF C2PC Recommendatior

C2PC configuration is not user friendly
(MISTC)

- Recommendation: Allow automatic
connection to a gateway on the same
network and subnet mask when a user
brings up a client C2PC

MEF C2PC Recommendatior

C2PC is not optimized for wireless
networks such as EPLRS (MISTC)

- Recommendation: install a TCP/IP analyzer
Utility

- Recommendation: automatic compression
of .mgc files

Overlay files do not automatically save
(MISTC)

- Recommendation - include an auto save
feature

MEF C2PC Recommendatior

• Read/write permissions often become
problematic, resulting in accidental
deletions of track data (MISTC)

- Recommendation: Improve read/write
permissions

- Recommendation: Incorporate a log file
that records track deletions and allows for
recovery
